Business Charity Start Up

The Centre for African Entrepreneurship

The Centre for Africa Entrepreneurship is Micro Startups' February Charity of the Month
Written by MicroStartups

Our February charity in the spotlight is a South Wales (UK) organisation whose focus is on providing opportunities for African entrepreneurs. Our worthy winner is The Centre for African Entrepreneurship (CAE).

How are they helping African Entrepreneurs?

The CAE is the only UK’s organisation who specialise in helping members of the African community to overcome the barriers they face in becoming entrepreneurs. In order to do this, the CAE have three core objectives:

  1. To increase the awareness of entrepreneurial opportunities within the African community.
  2. To encourage to African migrants  to become entrepreneurs.
  3. To offer guidance and inspiration by showing the African community how to succeed through entrepreneurship.

A great example of their good work in helping the African community is their Business Training & Support: Empower the African Community project. The CAE worked with Cardiff’s African community, providing participants with training and guidance on how to run a successful business.

How can I help the CAE?

If you want to show your support for the CAE, and help them continue their fantastic work in supporting African entrepreneurs, then please do not hesitate to contact them here.
